Meet Our Family

Our journey began with Landry’s incredible love for animals, which quickly grew into a family goal of visiting every zoo in the United States together. Each year, we look forward to crossing another zoo off our list, making memories and learning something new along the way.

My husband and I met at the end of 2019, just before the world changed and life slowed down for everyone. During that time, we realized how important it was to make the most of every opportunity to explore, experience new places, and create meaningful memories together. When the world opened back up, we made a promise to keep saying “yes” to adventure—and we’ve loved every moment since.

Landry was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, and he has continually shown us that the world is full of wonder when you take the time to see it through a different perspective. His curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion for animals have shaped not only our travels but also how I strive to show up as a mother and advocate.

Encouraging his interests is something we value deeply. Right now, he dreams of becoming either a zookeeper or a LEGO® designer, and honestly, we think either would be an amazing adventure.

A Wild Legacy was created to document our family’s zoo adventures, share travel tips with other families, and encourage parents to embrace their children’s unique interests. We hope our stories inspire you to get out, explore somewhere new, and create a wild legacy of your own.
